Last Weekend I was in California

Went for a quick trip to Pleasanton, California to see my Aunt, Uncle and Mom.  They asked me what I would like to do... now that is a crazy question to ask me.  OF COURSE I want to check out the local antique store!!!  What a great find.  We had so much fun in the store.  I will share more of my trip later.

Sneak PEAK

Here are a couple of sneak peak pictures of the altered tin I mailed out today.  "A Swap for All Seasons"... I had fun gathering all the little goodies to fit in my small tin.  some things were too big or I had too much and had a terrible time deciding what would go and what would stay.  In the end I was really happy with all the treasures.  SO HAPPY I had a hard time mailing it off.  I would have loved to get my little tin myself.

Now I have to wait patiently for the mailman to deliver my tin from my partner.  I can't wait to see what treasures it will hold.  I hope it arrives tomorrow.

Sent off to European Papers

I sent it off for their auction.  I had a great time making it.

 

Artists use a three-dimensional torso as their canvas to create a mixed media work of art. Pieces are displayed in the gallery with a silent auction running to mid-November to benefit breast cancer awareness and research. Deadline for entries is September 16, with the show opening in October (Breast Cancer Awareness Month) and displayed into January. To find out how to enter go to European Paper Company!

Where Have I Been this Summer?

A lot of my summer has been spent at the race track... I take a ton of photos of my husband racing his car.  I love my SLR and enjoy being able to share his sport even if it is from the sidelines!  Even though graphics changed on the car during the season.  The car has remained reliably fast!!!  Last weekend he ran the quarter mile in under 9.4 seconds!!!!!

Vendor Night at Art Party 9/19
