Gift Card Set!

A gift card set with a vintage feel made with Cavallini bird stickers.

The pictures look a little washed out from the scan.
In real life the colors are a bit darker.

Card stock Rubber Soul, Stickles, ink Versafine & Memento, papers for laying from Creative Memories, small tags K&Co, Eiffel Tower and Paris stamp Cavallini and lace from stash.. Back ground stamps Hero Arts, Inkadinkado and Stampin Up.

MEMORY BOX STAMPS

I love this new stamp from Memory Box... the birch trees are embossed. I added a little Stikles for snow on the branches.

The first card I distressed the edge with embossing powder.

The second card I added the little bird.

Linda was the most gracious host over at A Swap for All Seasons. She had over 75 swappers sign up for here Christmas swap this year. Each of us made 25 matchboxes numbered 1 to 25. Mailed them to her by October 15th and before the end of November we would receive another 25 back. Here are the boxes I sent in October.

My numbers are on tags...

Postcard Friendship Friday - A Merry Christmas Post

With the Thanksgiving Macey’s Parade over, the turkey cooked and gobbled up it is time to start seriously thinking about Christmas. For the weeks before Christmas on Postcard Friendship Friday I plan to share some of the holiday postcards from my collection. If you didn’t know all the postcards I share are from my personal collection of postcards which numbers in the hundreds if not thousands. YIKES!

For the first of five Fridays before Christmas... the castle postcard was sent in December 1913 from Veronica in Maze, WA (?) to her friend Miss Rose in Waterville, WA.

Random Hearts - Week 13 - Berry Heart!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

A little soiled 1916 postcard greeting.

With Thursday being Thanksgiving this week I wanted a heart that was... along the holiday theme. Thus my berry heart. I make my cranberry relish using my great aunt's recipe.

In case you are wondering what the recipe is:

Cranberry Relish
1 package of cranberries
1 apple
2 oranges peeled
A little orange peel zest (zest before you peel orange)
1 to 2 cups of sugar

Chop cranberries, apple and orange in food processor. Add zest and sugar. Mix together and chill overnight.

I personally use about a 1/2 cup of sugar... the relish is a little tart.

Join the COOL 2 CRAFT Virtual Parade!!! I DID!

In celebration of the world renowned Thanksgiving Day Parade, Cool2Craft is celebrating November with a Cool2Craft Parade!

I know as a child I always dreamed of being in a parade. Having had the chance to see the Rose Parade in Pasadena I thought being a princess on a float would be the greatest thing ever... Here is my Virtual Float... yes that is me with Cinderella... I always loved her as a child. Oh, don't miss Jasmine driving the car.

My float is made from a few recycled items: a card (the car) and Cinderella was cut from a crayon box. Everything else was from my stash... except the background was downloaded from COOL2CRAFT!
